Austin Industrial is currently seeking a NCCER Journeyman Electrician to join our staff located at La Porte, TX. You will be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the plant’s electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations. other duties assigned. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance, installations, and repairs affecting the facility’s operations. 
  • Conduct field construction and quality assurance checks during plant modifications or expansions, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Update and modify electrical drawings; maintain equipment records and technical documentation.
  • Select and procure equipment and materials needed for new or existing electrical systems.
  • Provide technical guidance, support project implementation, and advise on system capacity and availability.
  • Coordinate electrical work with production and maintenance teams, manage SAP work requests, and communicate project status. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an NCCER-certified Journeyman Electrician with a valid state license, working in industrial maintenance (chemical industry preferred).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and as-built diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety codes and industrial compliance.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • NCCER Journeyman Electrician certification.
  • Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License required
  • Meet physical demands as listed above
